Pyramid Center
Update 6/27/15: This project has been inactive for the past year.
The Pyramid Center would be located on the southeast quadrant of the intersection of Prince William Parkway and Liberia Avenue/Wellington Road in Manassas. Current plans call for 210,000 square feet of office uses, 426,000 square feet of retail uses, 285 single family homes and 390 apartments on 101 acres. The plan also calls for splitting the Parkway at Buckhall Road and connecting the new section of road to the existing Parkway near Lake Jackson Drive.
The applicant is asking for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to increase the recommended housing density on the residential part of the project (the lower half of the area in the depiction shown below) from about 15 single family homes to 285. There would be 390 apartments in the two buildings above and to the left of the traffic circle shown below. The project would add 19,400 vehicle trips per day to the area roads.
The developer of this project has also developed a number of the existing projects on Liberia Avenue, so this is a good opportunity for area residents to decide if this is the type of development they want to see continue along the Parkway towards Rt 234.
